Ecoconstruction against climate change.
An original partnership in Burkina Faso
Although it contributes modestly to global greenhouse gas emissions, Burkina Faso is already experiencing the effects of global warming: an increase in already very high temperatures and intense weather events.
In order to contribute both to climate change mitigation and to the adaptation of human settlements to the new environmental conditions, a new constructive solution must therefore promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the mitigation of deforestation and desertification in the Sahel.
The action presented is the result of an original partnership between a farmers’ organisation, the National Federation of NAAM Groups (FNGN), the Nubian Vault Association (AVN), a social and solidarity economy operator, the Belgian NGO SOS Faim and the Walloon Agency for Air and Climate (AWAC).
