SOS Faim was created in 1964, Its historical rationale is the fight against poverty in developing countries. SOS Faim’s intervention is based on two main principles:
- The focus of its action on a limited number of countries, in Africa and Latin America, in order to intensify its efficiency
- The development of open partnerships with local organisations in the South.
What is needed is to ensure that rural people can live on vegetable and livestock production.
Food self-sufficiency is the prerequisite for life as well as for development. That is the reason why SOS Faim puts this issue at the heart of its fight.View online Download the interactive version
