Sahelian countries, such as Burkina, Mali and Niger, are facing several crises at the same time: a security crisis, a food crisis and now a health crisis. The feared effects of the coronavirus pandemic on food and nutrition security have increased pre-existing tensions in the region.
SOS Faim is working on it with several microfinance institutions, which are put under pressure by this instability.
