The new publication of Farming Dynamics deciphers the advocacy campaigns that SOS Faim has been has been undertaking for more than 20 years. The first one…
In 2010, SOS Faim made a strategic choice to focus its support in Bolivia and Peru on umbrella organisations (of secondary level), placing yet another bet in favour of sustainable family farms.
This option was based on several premises:
– Increase the scope of support to these organisations and reach more beneficiaries, even if this support is more widespread;
– Have a lighter process for following-up partners ;
– Have better equipped partners in terms of advocacy.
10 years later, it was about time to assess this strategic turn. This issue of “Farming Dynamics” was written based on this results of an external assessment which focussed on 5 organisations, 3 in Bolivia, 2 in Peru.
